Free Pool Schools 2008
Let us help you make pool care safe, easy, and fun. All seats are limited, so please call or come in to register. All classes are in the store: usually Wednesdays at 7:00 PM. The schedule should be posted in early April. Generally, there will be about a dozen classes every year.
Our classroom expands to seat up to
80 people, though we try to keep class size between 25 and 45.
Introduction to Pool Maintenance
Our beginner’s class on general pool care. Learn
about filtration, circulation, vacuuming, cleaning, maintenance,
filter cleaning, safety, and water conservation. Plus,
a quick comparison of chemical systems.

Introduction to
Pool Chemistry
Our beginner’s class on pool water chemistry. We’ll
cover our job (water balance) and your job (sanitizers
and pH). What to learn from your water tests, what those
ingredients mean (and don’t mean), plus safety,
saving money, and how to make it all easier. We will cover
Baquacil, chlorine, bromine, ionization, Relax, salt-to-chlorine
generation, Softswim, and more.

Easy Pool Opening
Tricks and tips to get your pool opened
and operating quickly, safely, and easily. Learn about proper
timing, easy cover removal, filter assembly, cover cleaning,
opening chemicals, cover storage, ladder assembly, and initial
balancing.

Best Pool Closing
Protect your pool and equipment with the best techniques
for closing it for the winter. Make your spring opening
easier by doing things correctly right now. Learn about
clean up, chemical preparation, filter maintenance, filter
cleaning, covering the pool, pillows, tubes, other supplies,
and preventing winter damage. The inground class also
covers blowing out and protecting underground lines, plus
heaters, automatic chlorinators, slides and diving boards.
