►    Big Grill Demonstration on Thursday night, May 18.  While it is an invitation only event for people who purchased grills from us in the past, feel free to invite people who are shopping for a grill right now.

►    Customer Feedback:  We received the following email from Jim B. in Nashua, NH:

“I was in the store today getting pool supplies for the season, and meant to talk to someone about my recent experience with Telescope Casual, but totally forgot!  So, I though I would write and let you know about it.  I have actually had three experiences now, since we bought our first Telescope Casual piece of outdoor furniture from Seasonal.

The first experience was with our very first order of patio furniture in which a threaded insert was not installed properly in a MGP bench we bought.  I found it when I was assembling the bench.  In that case, Telescope replaced the bench right away, no question about it.  We love the bench!

The second experience was after the first season we had our new patio furniture set – the two swivel rockers seemed to be “wobbly” at the end of the season.  We didn’t know if this was normal use wear or something that was not right.  You had us return the chairs to the store for evaluation, and Telescope replaced the base assembly on both chairs, no question about it.

The most recent experience was with the MGP table we bought.  It had a crosshatch pattern on the top, and in our second year with it I noticed that the ends of the table were sagging in the middle as you looked from each end.  I contacted Telescope Casual and they said that they had made a design change to prevent this from happening – and replaced the entire table top!  (No question about it!)

We REALLY like the Telescope Casual furniture we have purchased at Seasonal!  Each of the last three years we have added to what we have on our deck and around our pool.  The furniture is comfortable, looks great, and Telescope is a company that stands behind its product.  We have been customers at Seasonal for years, in fact since 1988 when we bought our first pool.  But we hadn’t purchased any new patio furniture until three years ago.  We are very pleased with the products and service we have received from Seasonal over the years, and wouldn’t think of buying anywhere else.

Thank you for the high quality products you sell, the great service your staff provides, and the delight that our family and friends enjoy with our pool and back yard every year, which you in significant measure help to facilitate!  A very pleased customer.”

►    Advertising and weekly specials change Sunday, May 14 to: “Seasonal Beats Them All”.  Everything else remains the same.

►    We are running FREE DELIVERY on grills over $1000 this month.  Look at the signs – there is a tag on every grill that gets free delivery, along with the note that:  “Salesperson will give you a $115 Delivery Rebate (#4326) to use towards the delivery charge”.  You need to use the item number, so that it prints on the receipt, and clearly explain that they still have to pay Joe.

          May 13: Morgan’s Birthday:  FREE birthday cake in the coffee shop while supplies last.

         May 13:  Meet our Jonas Rep., Bob McColgan.  He will also be giving out free Therma Swim to customers that purchase a  Target product.

         May 14: Mother’s Day ~ FREE Gifts for mothers, future mothers, and mothers-at-heart, 11:00 PM – 5:00 PM

         May 18: Barbecue and Grill demonstration: 6:00PM – 8:00PM.

         May 20:  Meet our Bioguard Chemical Rep., Kevin Gray.  Special coupons on select Bioguard chemicals will be available to customers.

         May 20-21:  FREE Food.  Add cookies & pastries to your FREE coffee and tea in the Coffee Shop, while supplies last.

         May 24: Pool School 202 ~ Easy Pool Opening, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

         May 27-28:  Customer Appreciation Days: Free Gifts with any purchase, while they last.

►    From Anne-Marie: Just a reminder that if customers have not received their Seasonal Reward$, or are having a problem receiving our emails, please give them the business card with my email address. Have them email me. Writing their email address on a piece of paper for me to email does no good if they have not white-listed my address.  Normally, if I respond to an email they’ve sent me, it will go through.  Thanks.

►    While the “_______ days without a lost-time injury” counter has been re-set back to 0, you had just passed the two-year mark.  And, I had already placed a deposit on the Safety Reward Party; at Kimball Farms, on Saturday, August 19.  So congratulations and thank you for the two years.  More details will be posted this summer, but there are two additions since our last Safety Reward Party:  a zip line and bumper cars!

►    We have a Water Lab Night Deposit outside the Customer Pick-Up door.  It is the responsibility of every employee coming in through the front door or the Pick-Up door in the morning, to check the Night Deposit and bring in samples left         overnight. It is the responsibility of water testers to complete those tests before we open.

Throughout the day, it is the responsibility of every person working the Pick-Up door to look at the Night Deposit.  When you see that a bottle has been dropped off, immediately get it to the Water Lab.  People get upset when we take 12+ hours to do a test.  Thank you.
