KNF DESIGNS (Neille Olson Home & Garden)

KNF introduced a new line of furniture this year called Modern Living.  This new line is very contemporary in styling and the mosaics feature a lot of geometric patterns in very urban color ways.  This new collection features six furniture pieces including an end table, two sizes of cocktail tables, console table, serving cart and wine cart.  The collection includes six new patterns in six new color pallets (Fog, Sand, Mist, Midnight, Lagoon & Sage) for a total of 36 new combinations of patterns and colors.  It also includes four new frame colors that we have not seen before of Florida White, Graphite, Metallic Grey and Pewter.  We will be stocking end tables and serving carts in four new patterns and frame colors.  The response to this collection was bigger than KNF anticipated and shipping of this new product has been delayed due to a back log in production.  As of this writing our early buy order is not in yet but should be here before the start of the March sale.  As soon as it arrives we’ll get it on the floor ASAP as I think these pieces will sell very well!

From the Classic Garden collection we have added five new pieces and four new patterns to our line-up.  We will be stocking a 42” conversation table, 18” side table, serving cart and a round and square chaise table.   The new patterns are Giovella, Sardinia, Arenal & Belize.  These new items have arrived and we will be bringing these new items out shortly.

Please note that KNF will now have two separate catalogues and price lists due to the introduction of the new Modern Living collection.  You cannot mix product from one catalogue and patterns from another.  You are restricted to ordering only what is in either the Classic Garden or Modern Living catalogues.  There is no mixing or matching of the product or mosaic patterns!

LAFUMA

This season we have added a few new colors to the existing styles we are already carrying.  There is nothing new with the standard line up of zero gravity chairs.  We just added a few new colors.  They are as follows:

In the Futura & Futura XL new colors are Beige, Ocean Blue, Cedre (hunter green) and Wood (brown). In Evolution Air padded we added Taupe and Acier (muted black).  In Cham’Elips the new color is Obsidian.

The only new style this year is the Transabed Air Comfort (padded).  This reclining chair bed will also be shown with a folding ottoman.  Colors shown will be Bordeaux and Coral Blue.  The Transabed will retail for $259 and matching ottoman $109.

We will also be stocking a few new accessories.  To go with the Zero Gravity chairs we will stock an attachable serving tray for $13.⁹⁹ and fitted towels for the recliners with two storage pockets which will retail for $59.⁹⁹. The towels are available in two colors of Anthracite and Blue Ocean.  In addition we will stock place mats in Batyline sling material in Obsidian, Aqua & Outremer (blue/black).  Each sling placemat will retail for $9.⁴⁹.

LLOYD FLANDERS

The first set from last season that we are going forward with is the Ala Carte ~ Compass Dining.  This set was again a top 5 seller for us and we will continue on with it again this year with just one or two slight modifications.

We currently show this set with an 80” rectangular slat top table and 8 sling arm chairs.  The 9 piece set will retail for $2,939.  We also will be stocking again the 60” round aluminum slat top table which will retail for $799.  When this set is eventually sold out we will be displaying a new version of the sling chair called the Lux and a new style extension table.  More details on this set below!!  Please note that this set is an import set and there will be no special order options available on this group.

Carried over from last year is the Ala Carte ~ Compass Bar Height dining set.  This set will includes a 57” X 32” rectangular bar height teak dining table and 4 sling Ala Carte bar height chairs.  The set will retail for $2,739 and is shown in Gloss Anthracite finish with dark gray slings.  This set was a slow seller for us this past season so when it is sold out we will be replacing it with another collection.  Again, please note that this set is import only and no special order options are available.

The first new set this year is the Generations seating set.  The items in this smaller scale set will be sold individually and can be mixed or matched.  The pieces in this collection are a cushioned dining chair retailing for $1,149, a swivel dining chair for $1,539 and a matching 24” round end table with a Travertine top for $699.  All of the pieces will be shown in the loom finish of Sea Glass with Sunbrella fabric Exchange Slate.  The pieces in this smaller scale seating set are perfect for apartment/condo balconies and smaller front porches.

Our old standby set of Grand Traverse is undergoing a face lift this season.  We decided to go back to the standard bull nose cushion on this set and bring it back to its more traditional look.  In the past we ordered contemporary cushions from China for this set from the Fairhope collection.  That helped keep the price down on this set and it gave it a definitively more contemporary look.  The standard bull nose cushion is more expensive and looks completely different.  It gives the set a more tailored look and the comfort level is so much better! Using the Menominee made cushion raises the price on this set but we felt the look & feel of the standard cushion was worth the price increase.  So this season the fabric on this set will be Sunbrella fabric Demo Oatmeal on the sofa $2,399, loveseat $1,799 and lounge chair $1,029.  We have dropped the porch rocker and replaced it with the Lounge rocker $1,399 and it will be shown in Sunbrella fabric Water Color Blossom Cameo.   Again we will stock a round end table $469, oval cocktail table $629 and a new 42” round conversation table $679.

We still have about four complete, four piece sets of Grand Traverse swivel gliders in stock with the old Chinese made Fairhope cushion in Sunbrella fabric Dupione Caramel.  We will show these four remaining sets with the Homecrest Aurora Icon fire pit.  The swivel gliders will retail for $1,019 each and can be sold individually.

The next new set is Lux dining.  This set is very similar to the Ala Carte dining set.  We will be showing the new Lux sling chair in the same matching Gloss Anthracite finish with Dark Gray slings on the chairs and a new 84” rectangular slat top extension table with a self-storing butterfly leaf.  This new set will replace the Ala Carte collection once it is sold out.  We switched this group to the new Lux dining chair because it is a better selling chair then the Ala Carte sling chair and the 84” table is an extension table.  This 7 piece set will retail for $3,099 and again we have the matching 60” round table for customer’s who need a smaller table.  This set will not be brought out onto the floor until the Ala Carte set is sold out!

The next set to be shown this season is the Mackinac.  This is a carryover set from last season.  The sales on this set were not great and we think the sales were slow in part because of the light colored fabric.  This set is shown in Sunbrella fabric Canvas Natural with a contrasting welt in Sunbrella fabric Spectrum Graphite.  To try and offset the light color of the fabric we decided to bring in another coordinating fabric for the lounge chair, swivel glider and ottoman in Sunbrella fabric Demo Mist.  Our hope is that having a second color to choose from at a more expensive price may drive customers to choose the lighter colored fabric to save a few dollars.  The Mackinac collection is a Lloyd Flanders top 5 seller so we are hoping we can jump start the sales on this set.  Based on everything we have seen it just doesn’t make sense that this set did not sell.  We are going to give this collection one more try this season and see what happens.  If sales on this do not take off we will mark it down to move it out.  The pricing on this set will  be sofa $1,999, lounge chair $899 & 1,149 and swivel glider $1,119 & $1,399 based on fabric selection. All of the pieces in this collection are shown in Putty colored vinyl weave and the matching accent tables (end & cocktail) have teak tops.

The next carry over set from last season is the Nantucket.  There are no changes to this set at all.  It will be floored identical to last season.  This loomed wicker collection is shown in the Ivory finish with cushions in Sunbrella fabric Spectrum Indigo.  The pieces shown are a sofa $2,299, lounge chair $1,229, swivel glider $1,699 and ottoman $949.  A matching square end table and rectangular cocktail table are also available.

The final carry over set from last season is the Tobago. We still have swivel chairs and lounge chairs left in this collection.  They are marked as clearance and will not be reordered once they are sold.  Lloyd is now making this collection with real teak instead of the man-made Resysta and if you have anyone who is interested in special ordering it you will need to clarify the difference in what we show on the floor and what is only now available by special order.

The final newest collection to be shown this season is Wildwood.  We have been saying for several seasons that Lloyd needs to come out with more collections that highlight what they do best which is loomed wicker.  Many of the collections in past seasons have been just your old run of the mill looking styles and Lloyd did not seem to be able to introduce anything that was really new or innovative.  This season Lloyd came out with three new loom collections that have finally gotten buyer’s attentions.  We will be stocking the Wildwood collection which I believe will be the set that is most appealing in our area.  The Wildwood collection is a transitional combination set of teak and loomed wicker that has a rustic yet slightly contemporary feel.  This set will have a loomed back on a teak frame with a seat cushion only (no back cushion). The teak has a Heather Gray antiqued finish applied to it and you can choose any of the loom colors for the back.  We will show the seat cushions in Sunbrella fabric Fife Soot.  We are stocking the sofa $2,899, lounge chair $1,299, ottoman $ 649 and spring rocking lounge chair $1,799.  Matching cocktail table and end table are also available.

Lloyd has introduced a new extended warranty program that went into effect on 9/1/14. Any customer who purchased Lloyd Flanders after that date can have their warranty extended by 2 additional years.  All the customer has to do is go to the Lloyd Flanders website and click on the register product tab on the bottom lower left hand side of the home page.  This will bring up a registration form that the customer will need to fill out.  All the information the customer will need should be found on their sales receipt.  Please note that this is something the customer must fill out themselves.  We are not allowed to do this for them.  Please note that they must fill out this form in order to have their warranty extended.  The extension does not happen automatically.  The registration must be completed within 30 days of purchase.  This extended warranty program is available at no charge to customers and can be used as a great closing tool.  What better to offer customers than an additional 2 year warranty at no additional cost to them?  All they need to do is go on line and fill out the form.
