  5. Add Baqua Charge at the beginning of the season:____________________________(4 pounds/10,000 gallons).
  6. Start using Algaecide (Baquacheck 50 or Baquacide 795) monthly instead of weekly. Start using ______ pounds of Baqua Charge (2/3 pound/10,000 gal.) per week.
  7. Test Baquashock weekly. Add ______ gallons (2 gallons/10,000 gallons) whenever the shock test reads "add shock".
  1. Pool Opening: Adjust pH, add sanitizer, shock, mineral control, and algaecide. See "Pool Opening II". Bring a water sample in to our lab for balancing. Open before water reaches 60° F, and before June 10th.
  2. Testing: Test Baquacil, and pH levels weekly. If you are following the Premium Program, also test the Baquashock level.
  3. Filtration and Circulation: Run filter at least 8-12 hours per day--up to 24 hours per day during heavy use, heavy rain, or cloudy water. Aim return jets for circulation down and around. Clean all baskets and brush walls weekly. Chemically clean the filter at closing and mid-July.
  4. Water Balance: Bring in a quart of water at least three times a year, preferably within two weeks of opening and closing, and in mid-July. Testing cannot be done for 48 hours after shocking. We will analyze and print out a computerized report FREE.
  5. Pool Closing: Bring in water sample 1-2 weeks before closing. Shock 24 hours before closing, then top up Baquacil, add winter kit, and clean filter. Do not close before pool water reaches 60° F. See "Pool Winterizing".
